We review your GA4 property, Google Tag Manager container and live site behavior to find what is misconfigured, missing or double counted. You receive a written report that ranks each issue by impact and explains how to fix it. Useful before a redesign, an agency change or a bigger ad budget.

Signs Your Google Analytics Data Needs a Review
Problems in GA4 rarely announce themselves. They show up as reports that disagree with each other, or numbers that stop making sense after a site change.
Too Much Unassigned Traffic
Large volumes of Unassigned or Direct sessions point to broken UTMs, lost session context or tags firing before consent.
Key Events That Do Not Add Up
Key event counts far above real leads or orders usually mean duplicate tags, loose triggers or events fired on page reload.
No One Knows How It Was Built
Previous agencies or developers left tags, plugins and hardcoded snippets with no record of what each one is for.
What Our GA4 Audit Examines
The audit combines a review of settings with live testing on your site, so we find problems in configuration as well as in how tags actually fire.
Property and Stream Settings
Retention, time zone, currency, filters, referral exclusions, cross-domain and enhanced measurement options.
Tag Deployment Review
Checks for duplicate Google tags, hardcoded snippets, plugin conflicts and GTM container hygiene.
Event and Parameter Quality
Event naming, parameter usage, custom dimension registration and events that fire too often or not at all.
Key Event and Ads Integrity
Which key events exist, how they trigger and whether Google Ads imports them without double counting.
Traffic Source Attribution
UTM usage, channel grouping, self-referrals and unassigned traffic traced back to their causes.
Consent and Data Privacy
Consent Mode v2 behavior, tag firing before consent, and personal data leaking into URLs or parameters.

Google Analytics Audit FAQ
Straight answers before you book. Still have a question? Talk to us directly.
What access do you need for the audit?
Viewer or Analyst access to GA4, Read access to Google Tag Manager and read access to Google Ads if it is linked. We do not change anything during the audit, so edit rights are not required.
Is the audit only for GA4, or does it include other tags?
The focus is Google Analytics 4 and the tags that feed it. Where Google Ads or Meta tags interact with GA4 or cause conflicts, we note them. For a full review of every marketing pixel, our Tracking Audit covers all platforms.
Will you fix the issues you find?
The audit is a standalone deliverable, so you can hand the report to your own team or developer. If you prefer, we can quote for implementing the fixes, using the prioritized list as the scope.
Can an audit recover data that was never collected?
No. GA4 cannot backfill events that were not sent or settings that were missing at the time. The audit makes sure data collected from now on is accurate, and it explains which historical periods should be read with caution.
How long does a Google Analytics audit take?
Most audits for a single site are delivered within one to two weeks of receiving access. Stores with many checkout paths or properties spanning several domains may need more time, which we confirm before starting.
